KEY PERSONNEL

DAVID R. BRENNAN, President and CEO, graduated Cum Laude in 1989 from Providence College with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. He joined John J. Brennan in 1993. Prior to which he had experience in banking, accounting, construction and sales. David began his Brennan career in fleet and personnel management and was the head of the company safety committee. He has extensive experience in the financial areas of the organization. He has assisted the organization in its development of new products and customer development. David’s strong leadership of the company has centered on his expertise in finance and marketing. Under his leadership the company has transformed into an industry leader in the development of partnerships with customers and the development of new technologies to increase efficiency and recognize the need for green innovations. David represents the company on various boards and in labor negotiations.

ERIC T. BRENNAN, P.E., Vice President- Site Operations graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1987 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. From 1987-1988 he worked as a Civil Engineer trainee with the U.S. Corps of Engineers. From 1989-1991, Eric was employed by DeCarlo & Doll Consulting Engineers as a project engineer. In 1991, he received his Professional Engineers License from the State of Connecticut. Eric joined John J. Brennan Construction Company in 1991. Eric overseas the Site operations and heavy highway division where services include site development, road construction, Site remediation, demolition and design build services. During his tenure these operations have grown to include a diverse base of customers including CT DOT, Turner Construction, Skanska, and John Moriarty & Associates. Customers include many repeat relationships based upon their philosophy of personal attention and quality service. Eric’s responsibilities include project management, estimating, and engineering.

MATTHEW BRENNAN, Vice President – Utility Operations, Matt graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University in 1996. Matt’s hands-on experience began even before college, where he worked in the field in just about every capacity from laborer, driver, to equipment operator. Matt spent several more years in the field, after attaining his degree, as foreman and project manager on several large projects including the building of NASDAQ Stock Market Building in Trumbull. Matthew heads up the Utility Operations division where services offered include the installation of and replacement of existing underground utility infrastructure, design/build services for utility partners, assisting Utility partners in the development of projected costs for their capital budgets, trenchless technology solutions, and emergency repair and maintenance of infrastructure. Under his guidance the client list has grown to include many of the areas major utilities including Aquarion Water, Regional Water Authority, United Illuminating, CL&P, and PSE&G. His responsibilities include engineering, project management, estimating and scheduling.

LINDA A. SCOTT, Secretary/Treasurer and CFO – Linda joined the John J. Brennan Construction Company in 2008, where she is responsible for the financial and administrative functions of the company. Linda received her Masters degree in Business Administration, with honors from Sacred Heart University in 2001. Prior to joining the company, Linda was the Director of Finance for Casey Family Services for 9 years.

HOWARD VAGT, General Superintendent – Site and Material Operations – has been with the John J. Brennan Construction Company for more than thirty years. He started his employment as an equipment operator. Having mastered the operation of all types of equipment, Howard expanded his role to the Superintendent of our material processing plant and then into General Superintendent of Site and Material Operations, where he has become an invaluable asset on how to get the project completed as efficiently as possible with an eye towards green construction and materials management. Howard has worked on and overseen a wide variety of construction projects – from large-scale site developments, remediation, road construction projects, and large-scale demolition projects.

NICHOLAS TEODOSIO, General Superintendent – Water & Utility Operations – has been employed by John J. Brennan since 1978. With over 30 years in the industry Nick has vast knowledge and experience in water and underground utility operations. He overseas all water and utility work including the specialized use of trenchless technology. He was formerly Assistant Manager of Service Operations at the Regional Water Authority. Nick’s vast experience in the water industry and utility work in this area has allowed him to become a valuable resource to our own operations as well as our utility partners in trouble shooting solutions to complex rehabilitation projects and developing/planning upcoming projects.

JOSEPH F. KEANE, Safety Director and Superintendent – Electrical Utility Operations – Joe has more than twenty-five years with John J. Brennan Construction Company. He returned to the company after two years employment with SNET as an inspector for Utility Operations. Joe is familiar with all aspects of the company’s operations and is an asset regarding both safety issues and customer service needs. Due to the specialized safety requirements of working around underground electrical systems, Joe also leads up this division of work. Joe has overseen safety operations on construction projects of a vast scope and size including the underground installation of electrical transmission lines, working along the Metro North Railroad, and working inside Hospital campuses requiring specialized dust and air quality controls. Joe is trained and updated annually in all OSHA and MSHA requirements. He is an OSHA authorized trainer for 10- and 30-hour construction courses. Under his direction of the Safety program, John J. Brennan Construction has consistently received the CCIA award for Recognition of Excellence in Construction Safety and Health.

BRENT MOYER, Project Engineer and Safety Manager – Brent began with John J. Brennan in 1999 where he started as a field foreman working on state and municipal projects ranging from state park rehabilitations to road reconstructions. Prior to joining Brennan, Brent worked for many years on site development and heavy highway projects in a variety of roles including project Superintendent. Brent’s field experience and technical knowledge have made him a valuable asset to Brennan. This includes taking a lead role as project engineer for their work on a large-scale underground 345 electrical transmission line from 2006 though 2009. Brent has also been involved in numerous DOT and site development projects including road reconstruction, underpinning buildings in the sensitive area of Hospital Campuses and installation of sheeting and sewers along side the Metro-North Rail line requiring on going monitoring of the adjacent infrastructure.

JOE HOUDE, Estimator/Project Manager – Joe began his career at John J. Brennan as an assistant to the Project managers and quickly showed his ability and dedication far exceeded his assignment. Joe has grown through the ranks and seen many facets of the construction business while working his way to his current position as Estimator and Project Manager. Joe has successfully worked on large-scale construction projects serving in both estimating and project management duties. His responsibilities include developing estimates, buy out of materials and subcontractors, coordinating subcontractors, assisting in the scheduling of materials and resources to meet and expedite construction schedules.

ERIK GUERRA, Project Superintendent – Erik graduated from Central Connecticut University with a degree in Civil Engineering in 2002 and joined John J. Brennan Construction Company in 2007 after working for another CT Construction company as a Field Superintendent on a large-scale underground transmission project. Erik joined Brennan as a Superintendent of night operations for their work on the underground 345 electrical transmission line where he was responsible for night field supervision and coordination of multiple crews installing conduit structures and splice vaults for underground electrical transmission lines though a major State roadway. He has continued on a variety of projects ranging from installing Sheeting along the Metro-North Rail Line requiring the coordination of track outages to a multi phase project expanding and reconstructing a Hospital campus.
