description:
Once receiving clearance to begin, Brennan completed the demolition of 195 Main Street, Derby in quick and efficient fashion. Located on a busy downtown street, this 5 story building had become a hazard due to the crumbling brick façade . The installation of a scaffolding structure maintained area safety while the necessary steps for the building demolition were completed, including disconnection of utilities and asbestos abatement. Throughout the investigative process, it was determined that the building shared a wall with a contiguous vacant building and the decision was made to remove this building as well.
In order to minimize interruptions to area businesses, Brennan began the demolition early one Sunday morning in July, 2021. Within 6 hours, the building had been demolished and the clean up was complete.
