Project Description
Once we had received the clearance to begin, John J Brennan Construction completed the demolition of 195 Main Street in Derby, CT in a quick and efficient fashion. Located on a busy downtown street, this 5-story building had a hazardous crumbling brick façade .
The installation of a scaffolding structure maintained area safety while the necessary steps for the building demolition were completed. The demolition process included disconnecting utilities and asbestos abatement. From the preparatory investigative process, it was determined that the building shared a wall with a contiguous vacant building, so the decision was made to remove this building as well.
In order to minimize interruptions to area businesses, the team at John J Brennan demolition early on a Sunday morning in July 2021. Within 6 hours, our team demolished the building and completed cleanup.
