Situation

Working as a subcontractor with Turner Construction Co., John J. Brennan Construction performed major renovations to the athletic fields for a Connecticut high school.

Project Description

Brennan contracted with Turner Construction Company for multiple facets of construction for the new high school athletic complex in Derby, CT.  The project had private funding from the child of a former alumni of Derby High School. 

The project included mass excavations and sitework for the new baseball field. 

Brennan installed 30,000 sqft of rip rap wall to provide slope stabilization.  Additional work included drainage improvements with two separate retention systems., as well as excavation and preparation for the field house building slab.  Utilities included water, sewer, excavation and backfill for gas, electric and communications, and site lighting.  Sidewalks, paving and landscape restoration.
